What is there to see in Puebla?

This library is also known as the first in the entire American continent. In order to provide free access to all people, in 1649 the Bishop of Puebla donated all his books to the library. Today it has about 45,000 books on various topics in 14 different languages.

This district is an attraction because of the large number of artists who live here. Here you can admire exhibitions and art pieces of painters and sculptors. You can also visit the Mercado del Parián, a handicraft market where you can buy souvenirs and typical crafts.

Just located outside of Puebla is the municipality of Cholula. Here you will find the largest pyramid base in the world. This pyramid is even bigger than the famous pyramid of Giza in Egypt. The base is four times as large as Giza and can be explored through the tunnel system. We recommend climbing to the church at the top of the hill to watch the sunset.

What is the best time of year to travel?

We recommend travelling to Puebla in the months from January to May and from September to the end of the year. During this time there is good weather and little rain. Remember that the temperature in July can rise up to 40°C, but in the colder months like November and December, it still stays close to 20°C.
