Non-accessible content
Despite our efforts to make the website barrier-free, we are aware of various restrictions that we are trying to remedy. The reason for the restrictions is a disproportionate burden associated with the comprehensive implementation of the requirements. Below you will find a description of the limitations we are aware of. Identified deficits and shortcomings are currently undergoing a continuous improvement process that is being successively worked through. Please let us know if you are confronted with a problem that is not included in the list.
Known restrictions:
- Keyboard navigation: Many radio buttons, checkboxes, tabs and dropdowns cannot be operated via the keyboard
- Keyboard navigation: Many header links are not focusable
- Screen readers: Some links lack accessible names and cannot be operated via the keyboard
- Text alternatives: Some of our images and text illustrations have incorrect or no text alternatives. We are continuously working on offering more images with suitable text alternatives
- Page and heading structure: Some pages lack a clear landmark structure or do not follow the correct heading hierarchy, which can cause problems for screen reader users
- Purpose of the form field: Some form purposes cannot be determined programmatically, which can lead to problems for some users
- Colour and contrast: Some elements do not meet the contrast requirements or only use colour as an indicator. Some elements may not be visible even with custom colour settings
- Links and buttons: In many cases, the link purpose or the button labeling is not implemented correctly
- Keyboard and focus: In some areas, the focus is not visible. Elements are often not focusable, although they should be, or the focus is not handled correctly
- Language: When reading some small parts of the page, the English language is announced
- Errors and labels: In some cases, errors or labels disappear when interacting with form fields or the error message is not sufficient
- Name, role, value: Many elements lack a unique name, a unique role or a unique value property for identification purposes
- Status messages: In some cases, status messages are not displayed for screen reader users
- Navigation: A 'Skip to content'-link is missing, so that keyboard users have to go through extensive navigation areas first
- Cookie and hint dialogs: Dialogs do not move the keyboard focus and cannot always be closed via keyboard
- Close buttons: Close elements are sometimes not labeled or difficult to reach
