Vladivostok International Airport, also known as Knevichi Airport, is the biggest travel hub in Russia's Far East. The airport is nestled perfectly between the lush greens and the gray sea, about 44 kilometres from the city of Vladivostok.
Right at the airport, you'll find a range of car rental services to take you straight to your destination. From economy class to luxury, you can choose a car that suits your requirements. Besides, you get to drive on the right side of the road, unlike in the UK.
Moving a bit further away from the airport, there are numerous petrol stations where you can fill up your tank. Remember, fuel prices are much lower here compared to the UK.
The airport has excellent connection to Vladivostok and neighbouring towns like Artyom, while the Primorye motorway leads you straight down south to amazing vacation spots. But, do keep in mind that the highway code differs slightly from the UK's.
The Primorsky Krai region boasts a cooler climate than the UK, so pack accordingly. The average temperature during summer is around 20°C, whereas, during winter, it drops to freezing levels.
The Russian Rouble (RUB) is the official currency in use. There are plenty of currency exchange services at the airport, or alternatively, you can use your credit or debit card at most places.
Vladivostok, the nearest city to the airport, is renowned for its extraordinary landscapes peppered with hills, bays, and islands. It is a cultural and festival hub with many events all year round. The Artyom city is famous for its scenic views, nestled amidst hills and flatlands.
Exploring these magnificent places in your car gives you the freedom to uncover their beauty at your own pace.
Embark on a one-of-a-kind journey in your rental car, overflowing with unique experiences and immense joy. Welcome to Vladivostok!
