Just as in Britain, traffic moves on the right side of the road in Argentina. However, you should expect roundabouts to work in the opposite way. Speed limits are generally 40-60 km/h in urban areas and up to 130 km/h on motorways. Make sure you stick to these limits to avoid hefty fines!
Street parking can be quite the challenge in Jujuy, much like in any big city. Look out for 'E' signs indicating estacionamiento (parking), where you can leave your rental for a fee. Alternatively, many hotels offer private parking facilities which might be your safest bet.
Jujuy boasts several fascinating historic and cultural attractions. Must-visits include the Baroque Cathedral of San Salvador de Jujuy, the Provincial Archaeological Museum, and the neighbouring World Heritage-listed Quebrada de Humahuaca. The local currency is Argentine Peso (ARS). There are ATMs available, most of which accept Visa cards - something to keep in mind considering the predominance of cash payments in Argentina.
If you visit in February, you’ll be in town for the awe-inspiring Carnival of Jujuy. This vibrant festival is a riot of colour as locals host parades, concerts and street parties around the city.
