The first thing British travellers should note - Belgians drive on the right-hand side of the road, the opposite to the UK. We recommend booking a left-hand drive car to comply with the local road norms.

Speed limits in Belgium are quite similar to those in the UK, with 30-50 km/h in urban areas, 90 km/h on main roads, and 120 km/h on motorways. Seat belts are mandatory for all passengers, and the use of mobile phones while driving is prohibited unless you have a hands-free system.
